Wanderlust Wednesday: India Edition

It was the Tiger’s Saga that really got me interested in India because I’m a sucker for mythology. Once I learned how amazing their mythology was I added India to the list of places that I MUST visit some day.

My arrival day post included some great books set in India including the Tiger’s Curse series by Colleen Houck and The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna. Sadly mostly books set in India seem to be more contemporary and less fantasy like so I haven’t gotten a chance to read as many as I would have liked.

There’s a nice little Indian restaurant where I live but I’ve only gotten to try it once. Sadly they put a lot of milk in their foods there so I can’t eat what I would usually get. I think next time I go I’ll take a look at their vegan menu. I’ve also tried this homemade spicy chip thing that I have no idea what it’s called. My mom’s old boss was from India and her mom used to make them for us when I was younger. SO yummy.

Sadly the only movie I can think of is Slumdog Millionaire and I’m pretty sure I liked the book a lot more. Someone give me recommendations!!
