France is pretty high up the list of places I want to visit. Actually I just want to visit everywhere so every place is high up on the list. Here are some non-Canadian French things to inspire us all.
My arrival day post included some great books set in France. They included Rook by Sharon Cameron, Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness and Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers. Some I didn’t feature that day are Heist Society by Ally Carter, Belle Epoque by Elizabeth Ross and A Darkness Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard.
One very French food I have tried is escargots (snails). They were actually delicious and full of garlic (which I love) and lots of butter (who doesn’t love butter?). I’ve also heard that they eat a lot of moules marinieres (muscles) there which I also eat fairly often. Not quite as fancy and delicious sounding as their recipes though!
Paris is always a popular place for all those cheesy romance movies. A couple I did actually enjoy were Marie Antoinette and Julie & Julia.
