Top Ten Books I Would Buy If I Has a Fully Loaded Gift Card

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. They created this meme because who doesn’t love a good list? Especially a book list! Each week they post a new topic for your list that everyone is welcome to join in with. The only rule is to be as creative as you can! For more information and to participate go check them out!

If I had a fully loaded gift card I’d probably buy a lot more than this. As of right this moment this is what first comes to mind for me to buy. Realistically, I’d probably buy the most books I could but I don’t actually have a fully loaded gift card so this is what I want right at this moment.

DirectIngest,

Walk the Edge by Katy McGarry

I need to read this one so badly! I’ve been waiting on the paperback and it’s been a difficult wait. Plus I loved Nowhere But Here which is unusual for me since I’m not big on contemporary books. I’ve heard this one is just as good!

heir to the sky

Heir to the Sky by Amanda Sun

I loved Amanda Sun’s other books and I’m really excited to read another from her! The whole idea of falling from the sky just seems really cool and I’m hoping she’s still great at world building like she was with Ink.

return to the isle

Return to the Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz

This isn’t a high priority since it’s middle grade but I’m still loving everything about this series. Plus I love fairy tale retellings and this isn’t exactly a retelling but more of what happened after all our fairy tales. I’m hoping a new movie is coming out also?

crowns game

The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye

I’ve heard everyone talking about this one and it seems like my kind of book. I just haven’t gotten around to picking it up yet. I think a cool fantasy book like this is just what I need!

26114463

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

I’m probably buying this one shortly anyways, but I really, really want it now. I’ve only heard incredible things about it which only makes me want it more.

royal wedding

Royal Wedding by Meg Cabot

I just read this whole series and I was actually really happy with the ending. I didn’t like most of the characters during the series but when they finally started growing up everything became much better. I’m excited to see Mia as an adult.

20522640

Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers

I just desperately need to finish this series. Who else has read it?! I loved the historical parts of this series but also assassin nuns!

locke and key

Locke & Key Vol 3 by Joe Hill

I love graphic novels but they can be expensive in Canada sometimes. These ones are the same price as a hard cover book so I can’t buy them all as often as I’d like. Loving the creep factor in this series though!

alice in wonderland

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Other Stories by Lewis Carroll

I love reading the classics and this is one I haven’t tried yet! Plus who doesn’t love Alice in Wonderland? I mostly want this edition because of that cover and it’s leather bound.

jane asuten

A Collection of Jane Austen books

I would just love to own all Jane Asuten’s books and there’s some really nice collections out there. This is the only affordable edition I’ve seen but if anyone else has seen others let me know please!

  1. I’d probably purchase:
    1. The Walking Dead Compendium 3 (it’s so expensive)
    2. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone: Illustrated Edition (expensive as well, but not as bad)
    3. The entire Harry Potter series in either hardcover or that cool edition where the spines make Hogwarts
    4. The Infernal Devices (older covers, which I can’t seem to find anywhere)
    5. The Mistborn Series (the books are so long which makes them really expensive)
    6. Vampire Academy series (it’s a long series so it’s obviously expensive for them all)
    7. Go Set a Watchman (its pretty expensive for such a thin book)
    8. The Shadowhunters Codex
    9. The rest of the Shadow and Bone trilogy
    10. The rest of the Grisha trilogy

  2. Trisha Jenn Loehr

Mortal Heart was really, really good! Go read it now. Get yourself on a library waitlist if you need to . 🙂 When I wrote out my list for this Top Ten Tuesday, I definitely didn’t know what a fully-loaded gift card meant… I think you’ve done a better job than me at being affordable. Mine would be a mighty expensive gift card.

  3. I would love to pick up Heir to the Sky too. I’ve only read one of Amanda Sun’s books but I liked it, and the cover for Heir to the Sky is completely enticing!
