Welcome to the first post in the April A to Z Challenge! I hope you’re all as excited as I am. As you may or may not know, my theme this month is all about bookish fanart. I’ve found what I think are the best pieces for 26 whole days! (Plus I might do an honorable mentions next month since I can only have one of each letter.) I have only picked art where I could find and link back to the author because you should never ever use artwork that isn’t yours without at least linking back.

These were both done by Ji-Hyuk Kim (www.hanuol.com) and he has tons of gorgeous illustrations! Seriously go take a look! What I love most about these illustrations are the effects that he’s used. The characters are so smooth and doll like but then the backgrounds are full of that great texture, I love it.
For those of you that didn’t guess it, these images are from the series Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery.
About Anne of Green Gables
Everyone’s favorite redhead, the spunky Anne Shirley, begins her adventures at Green Gables, a farm outside Avonlea, Prince Edward Island. When the freckled girl realizes that the elderly Cuthberts wanted to adopt a boy instead, she begins to try to win them and, consequently, the reader, over.
“Kindred spirits are not so scarce as I used to think. It’s splendid to find out there are so many of them in the world.”
