Hello everyone! It’s Thursday and that means it’s Book Traveling Thursday time! For those of you that don’t know, Book Traveling Thursday is a feature created by Catia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to show off beautiful covers and also different covers from around the world. You can join the GoodReads group if this is something you’d like to participate in.
This week’s theme is: All of use have read Classics at some point of our life. Choose your favorite Classic. I’m a big fan of Jane Austen. I’m far from reading all of her books (though I will get there one day) but my favourite to date is Emma. I just loved Emma herself! A lot of people get frustrated with her matchmaking ways but I love that she just wants everyone else to be happy.
This is the earliest edition I could find. I’m sure the original was purely text.
CANADIAN (FRENCH) COVER
It’s pretty horrible guys.
I can’t even find the publisher of this edition. All I know is it’s English and it was published in 2015. It’s adorable though.
LEAST FAVOURITE COVER
This is the most random cover. I have no idea what this desert-like setting has to do with the story. This is an older Penguin Classics edition.
It’s hard to find this book in other languages because GoodReads doesn’t have many of the covers for them. These are: the Pengui Classics (2003) edition, Penguin Threads edition, another Penguin Classics edition (do they have anything else to do?), and finally a Vintage Classics edition.
