Book Travelling Thursday: Powerful Women

Hello everyone! It’s Thursday and that means it’s Book Traveling Thursday time! For those of you that don’t know, Book Traveling Thursday is a feature created by Catia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to show off beautiful covers and also different covers from around the world. You can join the GoodReads group if this is something you’d like to participate in.

The theme this week is: It was International Women’s Day! Choose a book with a badass heroine. Guys, I have lists of all my favourite badass heroines. I can’t stand the typical whiny, annoying female characters we get too often. It’s always easily for me to relate to a strong, independent female character because that’s what I strive to be myself.

This week I decided not to feature a young adult book because this character is probably one of my all time favourites and she deserved to be in the spotlight. I decided to go with Mercy Thompson from Moon Called or the Mercy Thompson series. She’s a coyote shapeshifter (one of a kind!) and she doesn’t let anybody (including the super hot alpha werewolf next door) tell her what to do. She’s always doing her own thing because she care what people think of her and she just tried to do what’s right. I love everything about her.
