In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever. Welcome to the Infernal Devices trilogy, a stunning and dangerous prequel to the New York Times bestselling Mortal Instruments series.

The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them.

I love this trilogy way more than the Mortal Instruments series. I love the characters and I love how different the plot is but I like the set up to the next series. For those of you that don’t know this series is the prequel series to the Mortal Instruments Series.I’m really impressed with this prequel, it take a lot to write a good one. I did not like the similarities between all the characters though. They’re basically the same people as Mortal Instruments. I do like these characters way more. Except Tessa. Not a huge fan of her. But I loved Will and Jem and their really cool relationship they have.

I loved the idea of the plot in this series. I liked the steampunk aspect of it all. The last book was a little disappointing but it still wasn’t too bad. The plot was a little slow but I loved the epilogue. It answered all those questions you would have been left wondering.

5 out of 5.

“When two people tell the same lie…”
“They are working together,” Will finished”

  1. She introduces the personalities (if a little more youthful) who will be the major concentration of her following series (The Dark Cons) enabling you to obtain to
recognize them and fall for them as well as obtaining a tip
regarding just what the collection will be around so once again the Shadowhunter world
does not really feel closed off after finishing and you’re
left counting down the days up until the following book is out before you’ve even closed this one.
