ALPHA & OMEGA SERIES by Patricia Briggs
About ALPHA & OMEGA BOOK 1 CRY WOLF (taken from goodreads.com)
Anna never knew werewolves existed, until the night she survived a violent attack… and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she’d learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. Then Charles Cornick, the enforcer—and son—of the leader of the North American werewolves, came into her life.
Charles insists that not only is Anna his mate, but she is also a rare and valued Omega wolf. And it is Anna’s inner strength and calming presence that will prove invaluable as she and Charles go on the hunt in search of a rogue werewolf—a creature bound in magic so dark that it could threaten all of the pack.
Review of ALPHA & OMEGA SERIES
I absolutely love this series. I also love the author. There’s 3 books in this series, Cry Wolf, Hunting Ground and Fair Game. (As well as graphic novels.) Honestly I wish I could rate this higher because it deserves it. The characters are all fantastic and entertaining and the plot is fantastic.
The characters weren’t characters to me in this series. They were like friends I’ve know forever. They stick with you and you find yourself thinking about them even when you aren’t reading the books. They’re so vivid. I loved the relationship between Charles and Anna. It was so perfect! Anna was the perfect balance for him. She was strong and calm and she really was a perfect character. You went through all her moments right beside her. I even loved the villains. They were crazy but so vivid.
A lot of the scenes in these books really played with my emotions. There were the sad moments and the happy ones but there were many dark and scary ones too. It was the perfect combination of everything. The action doesn’t usually start right away in the books but they’re all paced really well. There’s bits of romance mixed with the scary action parts. It’s just amazing. That’s all I can really say. The starting to the first book is a little abrupt if you haven’t read the Mercy Thompson Series (which I recommend you do anyways) but at the end it’s an incredible series.
