Book Review: Betrayals (Cainsville #4)

Book Review: Betrayals (Cainsville #4)

I feel like I need to stop reviewing Kelley Armstrong books because I swear all my reviews are the same. I can’t help but fall in love with her writing as soon as I read the first line. This book was no different. I was a little disappointed in the last book because it felt like the plot and characters weren’t going anywhere. That was probably because it was the third book in the series and that happens. I was much happier with where this book ended up. I felt like some characters (*cough cough* Gabriel) finally started getting themselves […]

Book TAG: Pokemon Go Book Tag

I’m sure you’re all well aware of Pokemon Go by now. You can have your own opinion but please no hate or judgment here please! I was not a pokemon fan when I was younger. I liked the movies but the game could never hold my interest and I got bored easily. I still have that problem today so I’m glad that this game doesn’t bore me and I’m actually able to get out of the house more to play the game. I’m currently obsessed with catching them all. This tag was created by Aentee @ Read at Midnight so […]

Review: UnEnchanted (An Unfortunate Fairy Tale #1)

Review: UnEnchanted (An Unfortunate Fairy Tale #1)

Cover Typical girl where you can’t see her face cover. Nothing new there. Initial Thoughts How cool does that summary sound? I thought it seemed awesome too! I love anything to do with fairy tales and I can’t get tired of them. I love seeing new ways authors retell them. This one is different where that character has to live all the fairy tales so I was pretty excited to see what happened. My New BFF Nan was easily my favourite character. All the others were really boring and lacked any dimension. Nan was the only one confident and easy […]

Review: Thor’s Serpents (Blackwell Pages #3)

Review: Thor’s Serpents (Blackwell Pages #3)

Cover All the illustrations in this book, cover included, are pretty cool. I think they make the story that much more fun to read. Initial Thoughts I’m not used to reading middle grade so it was hard keeping that in mind sometimes. I also really love any story about the Gods. Any Gods. I’m getting a little tired of the Greek one’s so these Norse myths were really fun to read about. My New BFF I loved Reyna in this book. I found that she really grew up and learned to trust the other kids. It seemed like there was […]

Review: Empire of Night (Age of Legends #2)

Review: Empire of Night (Age of Legends #2)

Cover I’m loving the art on this cover. It’s so creepy and cool! They’re doing a great job so far with cover art in this series. Keep up the great work! Initial Thoughts I love everything ever written by Kelley Armstrong and she has yet to disappoint. I expected great things from this book! My New BFF I think Moira is my favourite character. I like Ashyn too but I feel like I can relate to Moira more. She’s not afraid to fight to get out of a tough situation. I just find myself waiting for her point of view […]

Review: Silver Shadows (Bloodlines #5)

Review: Silver Shadows (Bloodlines #5)

Cover These covers are really boring but I’ve seen worse so I can’t complain really. Initial Thoughts I’m nervous. I don’t want this series to end and I especially don’t want the ending to suck. It’s going so good right now that I’m worried that the author will mess up. Fingers crossed! My New BFF It’s not a new bff, it’s the same one since I started this series. Sydney really does surprise me. She’s not a fighter but she’s fighting for her life in this book. There’s so much going on with her and it makes me love her […]

Lunar Chronicles Read-Along: Cinderella Retellings

This is one of the bonus post options for the Lunar Chronicles Read-Along hosted over at Book Addict’s Guide. From August 1st until August 31st we will be reading Cinder, the first book in the Lunar Chronicles. There are also some bonus post ideas to make the event just a little more fun. Plus who doesn’t like sharing their love of a good book?! I’m a huge fan of fairy tale retellings. It’s something I haven’t gotten tired of yet. Even if the retelling isn’t all that different to the original story, I’ll still read it and probably love it. […]

Review: The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden #1)

Review: The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden #1)

Cover Kind of creepy. Pretty typical though. The cover I have is much simpler and I like it better. Initial Thoughts I wasn’t expecting to like this book. I couldn’t tell you why but I just felt like it was going to be like any other vampire book. I’m glad it took a different turn. My New BFF I think Kanin was my favourite and I was sad that there wasn’t more of him in this book. He’d better be in the next one! He’s the big, bad, and scary vampire that turned our main character. He was just trying […]
