I had high expectations going into Daughter of the Pirate King and I hadn’t seen many advanced readers so there wasn’t many reviews I could read before starting it. I just thought that any book featuring an epic female pirate would have to be good, right? I wasn’t wrong. This was a book where I ended up loving it more than I thought I would. I don’t know why I thought I wouldn’t like it, probably because I read some negative reviews, but I was honestly enjoying myself through the whole book. I loved how it played on Egyptian culture but there was a lot of fantasy elements mixed it. I found the whole word to be pretty unique actually.
