Book Review: Seven Days of You

Book Review: Seven Days of You

I’m disappointed. After reading the synopsis of Seven Days of You I was expecting a contemporary I’d at least like. I’m generally pretty picky with my contemporary books but this one sounded unique which is why I requested an ARC of it. My first and biggest problem I had with Seven Days of You is the setting. Seven Days of You takes place in Tokyo. I was expecting lots of vivid descriptions because how many YA books take place in Japan? I should have kept my expectation A LOT lower because it didn’t feel like we were in Japan at […]

Book Review: Glass Sword (Red Queen #2)

Book Review: Glass Sword (Red Queen #2)

I can’t say there was a whole lot I loved about this book. I loved Cal and Shade but that was pretty much it for this one unfortunately. This could turn into a rant but I’m going to try really hard from letting that happen. I found there was a lot of things wrong with this book. I’m honestly surprised I picked it up after not liking the first one but I thin I was hoping it got better. I can easily tell you that this book suffers from second book syndrome pretty badly and was not better than the first […]

Book Talk: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Book Talk: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

If you haven’t guessed it by the rating already this isn’t going to be a very happy review. The one thing I did like though was Draco and Scorpius. They easily stole show here. I found Scorpius to be a very lovable character and he just had such a great personality that I fell in love with him. Draco was himself more or less but you could tell he’s changed and grown out of his horrible ways. I actually really loved Draco as a character in the series and was glad he got a chance to start to redeem himself. […]

Book Talk: Just One Day (Just One Day #1)

Book Talk: Just One Day (Just One Day #1)

Thoughts When I Finished: Disappointment was my first emotion. There was a lot of hype surrounding this book and I knew I’d be at least a little disappointed but I ended up really not liking this book. What I Loved: Not much to be honest. I think the only part I liked was the beginning. Allyson meets a cute boy and sneaks off to visit a city in one day. It seems cook right? It was! The book felt so promising after that beginning that I was forgetting about how I didn’t like the main character. It was spontaneous and […]
