Ten Middle Grade Books to Gift A Future Bookworm

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. They created this meme because who doesn’t love a good list? Especially a book list! Each week they post a new topic for your list that everyone is welcome to join in with. The only rule is to be as creative as you can! For more information and to participate go check them out!

I’m a firm believer that if you start reading young then your addiction is set in stone. I’m also a believer that everyone is a reader, they just haven’t found the right book. SO. Here are some books that you can gift a younger reader in the hopes that they become just as addicted as we all are.

The Classics

Nancy Drew series by Carolyn Keene

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White

Black Beauty by Anna Sewell

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

The New

Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer

The Magisterium series by Holly Black & Cassandra Clare

The School for Good and Evil series by Soman Chainani

The Night of the Solstice by L.J. Smith

The Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage

Oh I grew up reading Narnia AND IT TURNED ME INTO SUCH A BOOKWORM!! I definitely can’t wait until my nephew is old enough to start reading it. :’) And I also loved The Graveyard Book! Ahh, so many epic books to get small bookworms started!

  2. Awesome list! I can’t wait until all of the children I know to get old enough for me to start buying them ALL THE BOOKS. It has been decided that I will be the “weird, only-gives-me-books aunt,” and I’m 100% okay with that.
