Wanderlust Wednesday: Italy Edition

Italy is one of those places that’s on everyone’s ‘to travel to’ list. It has so many great historical sites that look awesome to visit!

My arrival day post included some great books set in Italy including Da Vinci’s Tiger by L. M. Elliot and Prince of Shadows by Rachel Caine. There’s a lot of historical books for Italy but I was expecting more contemporary! Maybe I was just looking in the wrong places!

I feel like a lot of dishes that we think are Italian really aren’t. Like Chicken Parmesan isn’t something they eat a lot there and I’ve heard they don’t even eat much pizza (though I have no idea if that’s true). I do know I’d like to try some of their fresh pasta. I’m not really a pasta eater on a good day but I can tell there’s a huge difference between our gross dried pasta and their fresh soft pasta.

I’ve never been a big movie person so forgive me when I say I haven’t seen many Audrey Hepburn movies. I’m sorry, I really am but Roman Holiday is one that I would love to see.
