Wanderlust Wednesday: United Kingdom Edition

Posted October 12, 2016 in Books, Travelling the Pages / Leave a comment!

I have yet to visit the United Kingdom though it’s really high up on my list. I just love everything about it! I think I’d be a typical tourist and want to go see all the cool landmarks but I’d be happy with that. I’d also want to try all the super cool foods because I love seeing what other countries eat!

Here are some very British things

My arrival day post included some great books set in England. Some favourite are A Great and Terrible Beauty and Stalking Jack the Ripper. Some great British authors include Neil Gaiman, Patrick Ness, Jane Austen, Lorna Reid, and J.K. Rowling of course.

I don’t think I’ve tried any British foods. At least not that I’m aware of. After researching though, there’s a few I’d love to try! I think homemade scones sound wonderful and I’d love to have some fresh ones! There was also a soup called Welsh cawl that sounds super yummy for a cold day! I actually started learning a little bit of Welsh recently! There’s so many other foods that I’d love to try!

I’m kind of obsessed with Jane Austen if you’ve never noticed. I love all the movies about her books but I especially love Becoming Jane which is the story of her life.
