Blog Design: It Matters! – Alice’s Book Vault Redesign

Posted July 9, 2016 in Design / Leave a comment!

Hey guys! Some of you may know this, but during the day I’m a programmer and graphic designer. I don’t get to do nearly enough design at work though so I like to keep my skills sharp by practicing at home. I used my friend Alice @ Alice’s Book Vault as a guinea pig recently and redesigned her logo and blog header. Go check out her blog to see the full effect but here’s a little peak at what I did for her.

What do you guys think?! Do you like it? Don’t forget to check out her blog though (click here!) to see it all put together! It looks even better over there!

Is this something you guys would like to see more of? Do you guys like blog posts about tips and tricks for a good blog design? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Love the new look for your friends’ site. I’m always interested in what fonts people use so I appreciate you telling us rather than me having to be a creeper and look into the code of the site 😀

    • Haha I’ve done that before! If it helps I’ve got another one of these posts coming up all about where I find my fonts so look out for that because I use a lot of free ones!

  2. Very nice! I love reading design tips as I am horrible at this type of stuff. The other day I spent half an hour on Canva trying to make one simple graphic and it ended up being super generic looking – and then I couldn’t even get it to save.
