This series has quickly become one of my favourites. I mean who wouldn’t like fairy tale retellings set in a dystopian world? Am I right? This is a character we don’t learn much about until the last book or in the prequel, if you’ve read it. (Don’t worry no spoilers in this post!) I’m very glad we did end up learning more about her though because I think it was very important to the story. Plus this picture is gorgeous and it makes me want to reread the whole series over again.

This is Queen Channary from The Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer. I fell in love with this series right away and I’m extremely glad I read it. This piece was created by blindthistle on DeviantArt and she has lots more Lunar Chronicles pieces so go check out her account! If you haven’t started this series yet, I highly recommend you do. If you haven’t read Fairest yet (the prequel) I strongly suggest that one as well because we get A LOT of backstory in it. It’s worth the read.
In this stunning bridge book between Cress and Winter in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles, Queen Levana’s story is finally told.
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?
Fans of the Lunar Chronicles know Queen Levana as a ruler who uses her “glamour” to gain power. But long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress, Levana lived a very different story – a story that has never been told . . . until now.
Marissa Meyer spins yet another unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death. This extraordinary book includes full-color art and an excerpt from Winter, the next book in the Lunar Chronicles series.
“Come here, baby sister,” she whispered, and despite the terror twisting inside Levana’s stomach, her feet obeyed. “I want to show you something.”
