These are in order starting with the most recent. I only included one book in a series if multiple were there just to give you some more fantastic options. Also I was only able to come up with 9 because that’s how many 5 star reads I’ve had this year so far. It’s been a little bit of a rough year that way but I’m starting to pick better books lately. I kept this TT short and sweet because since they’re all 5 star reads it would just be me gushing over all of them. Enjoy!

    • I was nervous that I wouldn’t like it either but I’m glad I did. I can see why people wouldn’t though because it’s VERY fairy tale like which includes the romance and the potentially happy ending.

      • I mean I thought it had a ton of potential. The ending really gave me high hopes for the next one. But I hated Shazi. Through the whole thing.

      • Aww how come? I had my moments with her so I understand. I had issues with (I can’t even remember his name) the guy that she was in love with when she was younger. He made me bored and I almost slipped through his chapters.

  1. So many awesome books on your list, these are ones I have either loved myself or am desperate to read. I read The Wraith and the Dawn last year and absolutely loved it. I am so excited for the sequel and very curious to see how she ends that story. I am definitely going to be adding some of these to my already endless TBR, so thanks for the awesome recommendations!!! 🙂 Here’s my most recent five star reads, if you want to check them out 🙂

  2. The Wrath and the Dawn sounds so interesting, I really want to check it out sometime. And one of my coworkers recommended The Falling Kingdoms series to me, I just haven’t had time to get to it yet.

  3. Man, everyone keeps reminding me that The Wrath and the Dawn is great and that I haven’t read it yet. Sigh. Also, Falling Kingdoms in general. Need to read all of these!!
    Great list 😀

  4. Such a great list! I definitely keep forgetting about The Wrath and the Dawn. I should really get on top of that since I just bought it a few days ago. It’s a sign, clearly. Also, sometimes I casually misplace that knowledge that James Patterson writes about everything. I need to get into his Women’s Murder Club series ASAP. Are they books you absolutely HAVE to read in order?

    • Hmm id recommend reading them in order because there’s some back stories and some cases come back in later books. But there’s only 14 books which is better than his Alex Cross series which has like 20 something haha. They go by quick though!
