Welcome to my tour stop for the new adult science fiction romance Limerence by Charlotte McConaghy. Limerence is the third book in The Cure Series. The first two books, Fury and Melancholy, are also featured in the tour. The tour runs March 14-25 with reviews only. Check out the tour page for the full schedule. Now, I have posted full review of all three books (Fury, Melancholy, Limerence) earlier so go check those out. I’ll be doing shorter reviews of each book in this post.

No injection can cure love. Only life can do that.

Deep in the darkest tunnels hide the last of the resistance fighters. Hunted by the savage Furies and the ruthless Bloods, they live in constant peril. The only means of survival is to seek strength in family and find courage in love. So what happens when love is cured, scoured away, leaving death in its place?

In the final battle for freedom, there are no lines that won't be crossed. And for Josi this means becoming the creature she fears most of all: the girl with a blood moon heart.

The gripping conclusion to the dystopian trilogy The Cure, Limerence is a love story for the monsters within.

Perfect for fans of Pierce Brown, Laini Taylor and Maggie Stiefvater.

My Mini Review:

This is a great book for dystopia lovers who are looking for something a little different. The world and characters are all imperfect and that’s what makes the story. You’ll fall in love with Luke and Josephine as their story slowly unfolds one piece at a time. The mystery of what’s happening to Josephine paired with the wonderful romance makes for a really interesting and intense story. It’s definitely a book you don’t want to miss.

What I Loved: the relationship between Josi and Luke, the idea of this world, the detailed yet mysterious characters, and the unique twists on dystoipa.

My Mini Review:

This was an even better sequel than the first book. It makes my hopes for book three pretty far up there! This is probably one of the more unique dystopias I’ve read since there wasn’t really anything in here that reminded me of a specific book. For me, it was the characters that really kept me hooked. They all had such great personalities that kept me entertained the whole way through! It was also really nice that the author kept a little bit of a mystery in this book, similar to the first. The mystery part only made the book that much harder to put down.

What I Loved: how great the author is at character development, the new characters in this book, the fast paced but easy going plot, and how we got to learn more about this world.

My Mini Review:

This was a series that kept getting better the more I read. Each book is very different from the others but they still somehow fit together perfectly as one big story. And a big story it was! This was honestly one of the better series endings I’ve come across. It was satisfying while still leaving some unanswered questions. We don’t know everything but we know enough. I really loved how this dystopian world revolved around emotions and how dark it ended up being. Which makes sense right? I’d be pretty upset if my emotions were being taken away. But it ended on a slightly happier note (which was nice) and I was really happy with how everything turned out.

What I Loved: the switching from past to present, how we got to meet even more characters, and the gorgeous way this book ended.
