It was kind of a crazy month. Christmas shopping has started so that takes up a lot of my time (and money). I’m trying SO HARD to not buy books. I did cave and bought and iPad on Black Friday so now I have an ereader that isn’t my phone to read things on. I’m pretty excited about that!

THREE EXCITING THINGS THAT HAPPENED LAST MONTH

  • Bought an iPad. It’s so pretty.
  • Read my first audio book! I’ve never tried before!
  • Put up my Christmas tree! How is that not exciting?!

THREE NEW OBSESSIONS

  • Audio books. I’ve been reading while I’m at work. It’s nice having something in the background and I was getting a little tired of music.
  • Christmas things. I’m starting fresh because I’ve never had my own place to decorate before and since my boyfriend looooves me, I basically get free rein!
  • Holly Black. How come I’ve never read more of her books before?!

BOOKS I READ

  • The Iron Trial – Holly Black & Cassandra Clare

  1. YAY for getting an iPad. I remember when I used my phone to read and it was the absolute worst. Which audiobook did you listen to?! Do I already know the answer to this? I have such a bad memory. Now go read The Program. πŸ˜‰

  2. Audiobooks are awesome! If you’re into that kind of thing, they are great for ‘reading’ memoirs. Most of the time, the author reads them, which just adds a whole other level of connection to the thing. It’s such a fun experience having a person you admire reading their story to you.

  3. Woo hoo! I need an iPad, I have so many books floating around on my phone and it’s kind of difficult to read on a small screen.
And how did you like The Iron Trial?! Isn’t it such a dark and strange book? I felt quite disoriented when reading it. I have yet to read the sequel 😊

    • I’m loving the iPad so far. Much nicer for reading and even audio books. I really like The Iron Trial. I could tell it was partially written by Holly Black because she does write a lot of darker books which I love. I can’t wait to read the next one!
