Top Ten Bookish Costumes to Get You Into the Halloween Spirit

Not sure what you’re dressing up as for Halloween yet? Not to worry! I’ve got you covered! These are my top ten favourite bookish costumes that I’ve seen around while looking for inspiration. If you try any of these I want to see!!

Alice in Wonderland: How cute is this costume?!

Madeline: This is great for a group of kids. Super adorable.

Sirius Black: I couldn’t resist a Harry Potter themed one. This one is extra cool.

Effie Trinket: This is great for those make up lovers out there like me. I’d much rather have a face full of make up than wear a huge costume.

The Cheshire Cat: Another great make up one. I especially love the purple hair!

Nancy Drew: A classic! Simple and you might even be able to find these things in your closet already!

The Lorax: Sometimes I wish I was still a kid just so I could fit into these costumes. How adorable?!

The Paper Bag Princess: Who else loved this book when they were little?! (Maybe even now) I love this costume!

Belle: This is my all time favourite and I dressed up as her last year. It’s always fun being a princess for a night!

Gandalf: Just in case you wanted to dress up your fur babies too!

Tell me below, what are you dressing up as this year? I’d love to know!

  1. I love the Belle, Alice in Wonderland and Sirius Black costumes 😀 I think if I were dressing up I’d have to be Belle – she’s one of my favourite Disney princesses and it’d give me an excuse to carry a book around all night! (Either that, or I’d dress as something scary since it’s Halloween after all)

  2. The little Madeleines are so cute! I like the Gandalf dog, too. I can never think of creative ideas any more, so I usually don’t dress up. Are you dressing up this year?
