Spotlight Saturday #2

Isn’t Josie from Josie’s Book Corner great? She came up with this fun post idea that I’m in love with.

Spotlight Saturday is a weekly feature, created by Josie at Josie’s Book Corner, dedicated to spotlighting and pinpointing some of the things over the week that have caught my attention more than usual, things I’ve particularly loved, etc.

This was a long week I found. I’m not sure why. Possibly because I didn’t get much sleep since there’s always construction going on outside of our building very early in the morning. It’s horrible. But we finally caved and turned our heat on this week so now I can sleep all cozy in my warm bed. I love that!

This week I’m spotlighting Sarah @ Kerosene Lit because she just chaged her name and blog design and it’s really cool! Seriously, you have to go see right now! This is one of the more unique blog names I’ve come across so I’m excited to see how everything goes for her. 🙂 Go tell her how much you love her new blog!! <3

I hate this one because I can never remember what posts I’ve read this week. I’m going to pick all the Fortnight of Fright post so far! Lots of Halloween themed posts by tons of different bloggers, including me! There’s Halloween book recommendations, movies, places, etc. Tons of fun things all focused on Halloween!

Guys. I took my first dive into new adult this week and let me tell you, I’m in love! I read Confess by Colleen Hoover and it was probably the cutest thing I’ve read in a long time. It was probably easier for me to relate to it because there was a lot of art talk which I understood and could relate to. I’m nowhere near as good as the artist in the book but I loved seeing the pictures throughout the story. Plus it was just so different! What are your favourite new adult books? Because I need some more!!

So Mary E. Pearson apparently read my review and tweeted that it was great. So that’s cool. I only freaked out a little though so I’m actually pretty impressed with myself.

I have this app called The Christmas List and it’s great for this time of the year because you add people to it and then add items you want to buy them. You can then check them off if you bought them, wrapped them, shipped them, etc. It’s probably my favourite thing. There’s so many details you can add to the items too! You can pick what store you’re buying them at and even the price so you can budget. It’s really great and I recommend it to everyone!

Love Me Like You by Little Mix. They just came out with this new video and I keep getting it stuck in my head. I’m not sure how I feel about the other songs from this album yet but I really hope I like them because I’ve been listening to Little Mix for so long and I’d hate to stop!

Chelsea! You are so sweet. Thank you so much for featuring me. I hate that moment when you have to put the heat on. In the voice of Ned Stark… Winter is coming. I told myself I was going to do this spotlight post and I completely forgot. XD

    • Haha you still have time! Or do it next week!

It’s starting to get chilly at night so heat was a must. But then I get sad when I have to leave for work in the morning and it’s freezing out haha

  2. Chelsea you are such a darling, I love you 💓 Thank you for joining in the weekend fun of Spotlight Saturday! I love all of your picks! I’m going to check out those blogs immediately!
As for Colleen Hoover, I MUST READ CONFESS. So far I have only read Ugly Love but I adored it, so bring me all the Colleen Hoover books!

  3. Hi, I just had to comment and tell you after you got my attention with “book” the little image of the banner is so adorable!! My favorite you listed is the quote! I had not heard of that one yet, so Thank you for sharing!
