TAG: .Read This, Watch That

It’s no fun writing about books all the time! Right? Just kidding. But I do watch some tv and movies every once and a while and this tag is a fun way to connect them both. I was tagged by Aentee @ Read at Midnight to do this tag. This is really hard for me because most tv shows and movies I watch are based after books. Those that aren’t are way different from any of the books I read. I’m giving it a shot though!

I.  Create five Book-TV Pairings.

II. Tag your favourite book bloggers/booktuber.

If you’ve read: The School for Good and Evil (or any fairy tale retelling really)

Then watch: Once Upon a Time

ONCE UPON A TIME - ABC's "Once Upon a Time" stars Raphael Sbarge as Jiminy Cricket/Archie, Lana Parrilla as Evil Queen/Regina, Jared Gilmore as Henry, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold, Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret and Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/John Doe. Jamie Dornan (middle) guest stars as Sheriff Graham. (ABC/KHAREN HILL)

If you’ve read and liked any fairy tale retelling then this is a great show for you! It’s the modern day world but some fairy tale characters were brought here and frozen in time.

If you’ve read: The Women’s Murder Club series

Then watch: Criminal Minds

Both different while still being the same. They solve crimes differently but the connection with the characters is still there.

If you’ve read: The Knife of Never Letting Go

Then watch: The 100

The 100 is set in the future after the apocalypse. People went up in space to live there while the earth was destroyed only now they’re running out of air so they send some kids down to earth to explore. It’s just as crazy as the Chaos Walking Trilogy.

If you’ve read: The Mercy Thompson Series

Then watch: Bitten

You should also read the books Bitten was based off of. They’re even better. This is a great series for the werewolf lovers.

If you’ve read: Anything by Jane Austen

Then watch: Becoming Jane

One of my all time favourites! This movie is about Jane’s life and how she started writing.

  1. Very interesting pairing. I’ve read the women murder series and have watched (still watching) criminal minds. You’re right. They both solve crimes. I’ve read a couple Austen’s. So I guess next on the list is to watch Becoming Jane.<em?

  2. Thank you for tagging me! I’ve definitely got some new TV shows to watch after reading your post.
I can’t wait to do this. I don’t know how well I’ll do because I hardly ever watch TV but we will see! 😄
    xoxo 💋
