Day 4 Challenge

Today’s challenge is hosted by Ranty Runt of a Reader and it’s called From Modern to Classic. Here’s the rules:

THE CHALLENGE Share one book that you believe will be considered a classic in 100 years time. Simple? I do have a few caveats, the book must have been published in or after 2005 and you need to provide two reasons for why this book will be a classic.

I’m choosing The Percy Jackson series (2005-2009) by Rick Riordan because it kind of reminds me of Narnia. Plus middle grade books can be classics too! I think it could be a classic because it’s got great world building in it and there’s tons to learn from it! Classics tend to be great stories with great worlds, full of character development, and have tons to learn. I think this book has all those qualities and more.

What did you guys pick? Let me know!

  1. Such a great choice for the challenge – they are certainly my go to recommendation for middle grade books – most adults I have recommended them to enjoyed them also. I think there are parallels to be drawn between this series and Narnia, I hadn’t made that connection tho! Thanks for participating in today’s challenge.
