I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore
Where did I get it?
I found a brand new copy at my local thrift store.
In the beginning they were a group of nine. Nine aliens who left their home planet of Lorien when it fell under attack by the evil Mogadorian. Nine aliens who scattered on Earth. Nine aliens who look like ordinary teenagers living ordinary lives, but who have extraordinary, paranormal skills. Nine aliens who might be sitting next to you now. The Nine had to separate and go into hiding.
The Mogadorian caught Number One in Malaysia, Number Two in England, and Number Three in Kenya. All of them were killed. John Smith, of Paradise, Ohio, is Number Four. He knows that he is next.
I AM NUMBER FOUR is the thrilling launch of a series about an exceptional group of teens as they struggle to outrun their past, discover their future—and live a normal life on Earth.
I love these covers when they are all together. Otherwise, they’re pretty simple.
This whole series is pretty popular so when I saw it for such a good price I grabbed it right away. I had no clue what the book was about but I was interested after reading the back.
My New BFF
I really liked Six. She was badass and just fun to read about. I loved that she was always confident with what she was doing. She was just a really easy character to love! I can’t wait to see more of her in the next books.
I didn’t really have a crush in this book. I did like the main character Four/John because of his relationship with his handler. They went through some really tough things together and I was impressed with how much Four looked up to him.
This was a really easy book to read because it was fast paced and entertaining. I don’t really read a lot of sco-fi books but this one is different. It’s not overpowering you with weird sci-fi elements. Four is an alien but he looks and acts just like a human with superpowers. You couldn’t even tell it was sci-fi! I was also impressed with how well the author described the alien side of things. It was really easy to understand and keep up with everything that was happening.
At the end of the book I really enjoyed reading it. I finished it very quickly and I’m looking forward to the next one. The only thing that really bothered me was the love interest. It happened way too quickly and I didn’t like her all that much. She was the main reason why this book didn’t get 5 stars from me. I just found her annoying and she doesn’t really have a purpose.

4 out of 5 stars
