(pas·sion): any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling,
Passion is something I think everyone can agree on. It makes a book that much better for everyone to read. Not just passion between the characters either. The passion that an author shows in their writing makes for a better book too. I love it when I can tell that the author believes in their own story. It’s not something they just made up. They really believe that it’s real. That’s the kind of books I want to read. I want to see that passion dripping off the pages. Oozing out of the book. It makes me believe in the story more which makes me enjoy it way more than an author who is more passionate about the money than the story.
Here’s some books that really screamed passion for me:
- A Game of Thrones – George R.R. Martin
- Fallen – Lauren Kate
- Vampire Academy – Richelle Mead
- Omens – Kelley Armstrong
What do you guys think? Do you agree?
