As always, this meme is hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. So go check them out and join in the fun! Basically it’s where there’s a topic and you write your top ten books for that topic. This week the topic is:

Top Ten Unique Books You’ve Read

It’s going to be a good one this week! Here’s what I’ve come up with.

So we’ve got :

1. House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

This book was just completely crazy and ridiculous. It was a hard read but really intense. I’ve NEVER seen anything like it.

2. Poison Study – Maria V. Snyder

Love this series. Everything about it was unique and awesome.

3. The Book Thief – Marcus Zusak

This was a really cool take on World War 2. Loved it.

4. Throne of Glass – Sarah J. Mass

I love how the main character of this book was an assassin. There was some magic involved too but it was a different kind of magic I’ve never read about before.

5. Graceling – Kristen Cashore

The world in this whole series was crazy. It was so different and that’s what sucked me in.

6. A Discovery of Witches – Deborah Harkness

It’s kind of cool how this book mixes fantasy and history. That’s definitely unique.

7. Grave Mercy – Robin LaFevers

Another assassin book! This time it’s set in an earlier time period though which makes it even more unique!

8. The Princess Bride – William Goldman

This is a classic fairy tale but with some different twists!

9. From the Corner of His Eye – Dean Koontz

A typical mystery book but with a little bit of supernatural elements.

10. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies – Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith

This one is cool because it’s a calssic book with added zombies. Who wouldn’t love it?

That’s it for this week! I’d also like to mention Daughter of Smoke and Bone on this list too because that one was pretty different. Does anyone else have any suggestions for me? I’m ALWAYS looking for something to read. Let me know below!

    Hi Chelsea.

Since I’m blind and can’t see the graphic, would you be able to put this top ten list in a text format if it’s not too much trouble?

    Thanks for the help.

    Scott
