Bookshelf Scavenger Hunt | TAG

Posted February 14, 2014 in Uncategorized / Leave a comment!

I’ve seen this tag around a lot. It’s pretty much everywhere. Usually I see a lot of Booktubers doing it (book blogs on youtube) but I wanted something fun to post and this is what I chose. Here we go!

The rules: You have to pull these books off your bookshelf which means you need to own them. I’m pretty sure books on your eReader don’t count. You have to have a physical copy.

1. Find an author or title with the letter Z in it.

Unraveling – Elizabeth Norris

I haven’t read this one yet because I just bought it recently but it’s on my to-read list!

2. Find a classic.

Emma by Jane Austen

I haven’t read this one yet either but I do know I love Jane Austen. I’ll get around to it.

3.Find a book with a key on it.

I don’t have any books with a key on it. How sad. But I’d like to own Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen!

4. Find something on your bookshelf that’s not a book

I have this little Hello Kitty mermaid on my shelf. Isn’t she cute!?

5. Find the oldest book on your shelf

Anne of Windy Poplars by L.M. Montgomery

This isn’t exactly the edition I have. Mine has the same picture on the front but was published in 1981. So pretty old.

6. Find a book with a girl on the cover

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Love this cover. It’s beautiful. It’s a great book too!

7. Find a book that has an animal in it

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis

I love that they combined all the books into one. It’s fantastic!

8.Find a book with a male protagonist

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

Love this series! And I love Jason, who is the male protagonist.

9.Find a book with only words on it

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness

So this was the best I could find. It’s almost all words.

10.Find a book with illustrations in it

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them by J.K. Rowling

There’s little doodles in here from Harry and Ron. I love it.

11. Find a book with gold lettering

The Hobbit

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

12.Find a diary (true or fictional)

Anne of Windy Poplars by L.M. Montgomery

I have to use this one again. It’s not quite a diary but it’s a bunch of letter.

13.Find a book written by someone with a common name (like Smith)

Dark Visions by L.J. Smith

14.Find a book that has a closeup of something on it

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

15. Find a book on your shelf that takes place in the earliest time period

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

This was just a guess by I think it’s pretty far back.

16.Find a hardcover book without a jacket

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

This makes me so sad. BUT. I’m going to save up for the new editions with the castle on the spines. It’s so cool!

17.Find a teal/turquoise colored book

Eve & Adam by Michael Grant

18.Find a book with stars on it

Harry Potter: Page to Screen

Those count as stars right?

19.Find a non-YA book

Werewolves by Kelley Armstrong

Here is a picture of all my books!

And that’s it folks! If you’d like to try this tag out PLEASE comment me a link! I’d love to see them.

I’m going to tag :

Bookshelf Fantasies

Quinn’s Book Nook

A Flurry of Pondering

Stephanie’s Book Reviews

If anyone else wants to try this feel free!
