Top Ten Tuesday is hosted every week by The Broke and the Bookish. This week is a pretty interesting theme. The topic is:

Top Ten Worlds I’d Never Want to Live In

This is going to be a fun one I think! It’s cool because usually I want to be IN the worlds. Obviously this is going to be a big dystopia one. Here we go! They’re in no particular order.

Chicago (Divergent)

While this book isn’t as bad as some of the others, it’s still not a place I’d want to be. Plus, I’d probably be factionless and just be living on the streets. That doesn’t sound like fun to me.

Sun, Moon or Star Realm (The Moon Dwellers)

Great book, terrible place to live. I do not want to spend my life underground with no fresh air or sun. Nope. No thanks.

Westeros (A Song of Ice and Fire)

If you’ve read this series and you WANT to go to Westeros, you should get your head checked. There is nothing good about living here, especially if you’re a Stark.

The Smoke / The Cities (Uglies)

I didn’t even like this book, I certainly wouldn’t want to live here. I’d look fantastic though.

Earth (The Walking Dead)

I know some people think it would be cool to live with zombies. This doesn’t seem like fun to me. I like living. Dying isn’t appealing to me. Plus everyone is going to die.

Perdido Beach (Gone)

First of all, I would have disappeared already but if I was younger I still wouldn’t want to live here. There’s some really sketchy kids living here. I don’t want anything to do with them.

The New World (The Knife of Never Letting Go)

This doesn’t sound like a great place to live. Some of the people here are doing ok but it’s not a place for me.

The Maze (Or the whole world) (The Maze Runner)

If I had to pick between the maze and the outside world, I’d pick the maze. Those monsters seem pretty good compared to the sun and crazy people.

Earth (Bumped)

Just no. No way am I having babies for fun or to sell them. Nope nope nope.

NeverNever (The Iron Fey Series)

If the creepy fey weren’t so creepy and didn’t want to eat me, I’d live here. But the creepy fey do exist therefore this isn’t the place for me.

All done! That was a fun one! Once again leave your comments and links below!

  1. I have only read the first book in the Gone series, but I agree it would be horrible to live there, especially with people developing powers that they do not understand, I really want to read the second one now.
