Top Ten Tuesday is a book meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and features a new “theme” every Tuesday. This week the theme is:

Top Ten Books on my Winter To-Read List

With winter getting so close (and Christmas!) this is an excellent theme. I know it’s already started snowing here and it’s way too cold. Comment below to tell me if it’s snowing where you live too! I live in Canada so snow is pretty common here. Though it doesn’t snow all year round like some people believe.

Anyways, I’m going to get started! No particular order.

  • Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire #1) – George R.R. Martin
  • Spy Glass (Glass #3) – Maria V. Snyder
  • Darkness Becomes Her (Gods and Monsters #1) – Kelly Keaton
  • Whispers at Moonrise (Shadow Falls #4) – C.C. Hunter
  • The Bitter Kingdom (Fire and Thorns #3) – Rae Carson
  • Mythology – Edith Hamilton
  • The Red Pyramid (Kane Chronicles #1) – Rick Riordan
  • Vain (The Seven Deadly #1) – Fisher Amelie
  • Night of the Wolf (Legends of the Wolf #2) – Alice Borchardt
  • The Divide (The Secret Circle #4) – L.J. Smith

So that’s my list I’m hoping to accomplish this winter. Especially over the break. I’ll actually have some time to read.

What’s on your guys’ lists? Let me know below!

  1. Looks like you’ll be having fun this winter! A Game of Thrones is perfect for this time of year (“winter is coming”!) — although you may not want to read anything but the books in this series once you get started. 🙂 Enjoy!

    • I’m almost half way done the first Game of Thrones book and it’s fantastic as I knew it would be. It helps that I watched the tv series so the books can only be better. The Rae Carson series is amazing. I highly recommend it!

  2. I definitely have to read 3 books over the winter break, for uni. One of them is Lolita from Nabokov. I have begun reading it, and it is wonderful, although a little bit awkward.
Well here in germany the weather goes crazy right now. The sun is shining brightly since Monday. It feels like spring will arrive in a few weeks. Quite strange, but winter is the coldest here after December. I am already totally afraid of January and February.
