IRON KISSED by Patricia Briggs
About IRON KISSED (taken from goodreads.com)
I could smell her fear, and it satisfied something deep inside me that had been writhing under her cool, superior gaze. I curled my upper lip so she could get a good look at my sharp teeth. I might only weigh thirty or so pounds in my coyote shape, but I was a predator…
Mechanic Mercy Thompson can shift her shape – but not her loyalty. When her former boss and mentor is arrested for murder and left to rot behind bars by his own kind, it’s up to Mercy to clear his name, whether he wants her to or not.
Mercy’s loyalty is under pressure from other directions, too. Werewolves are not known for their patience, and if Mercy can’t decide between the two she cares for, Sam and Adam may make the choice for her.
Review of IRON KISSED
I can not express to you how much I love this series. I love how unexpected these books always are! I just love this book so much!
Mercy really stands out to me as a character. She grows every single book which I love. I love that Mercy isn’t the typical self sacrificing idiot, she thinks about her situation and deals with it. I really like how the love triangle is resolved in this book. Usually I hate love triangles but I felt like Mercy had an actual reason why she couldn’t pick between each guy. Team Adam all the way though.
I loved the mystery in this book. Usually fantasy books are all about the love but I like how this one focuses on the mystery aspect and adds a little romance in here and there. I also like how each book needs the book before it to make sense. It’s not a separate story every time, it builds off the book before.
I just love everything about this book. If you want to know more, read it. Heads up though this is an adult book so if you’re like 15 you probably shouldn’t be reading this.
