BLOOD BOUND by Patricia Briggs
About BLOOD BOUND (taken from goodreads.com)
Under the rule of science, there are no witch burnings allowed, no water trials or public lynchings. In return, the average law-abiding, solid citizen has little to worry about from the things that go bump in the night. Sometimes I wish I was an average citizen…
Mechanic Mercy Thompson has friends in low places-and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shapeshift at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind.
But this new vampire is hardly ordinary-and neither is the demon inside of him.
Review of BLOOD BOUND
This book was just as good as, if not better than the first. There was a bit less action in this book but I found the characters were getting more developed as well as new characters introduced.
I still love all the characters, even the new ones. Mercedes is still a really strong character and she’s really smart. She’s still super badass and she keeps saving the wolves. Adam is as sexy as ever and Samuel is still fantastic. Stefan drives a Scooby Doo van and he’s a vampire. Pretty awesome. Jesse was cute and Warren is great too! Everyone is just so amazing!
I like how the first book was mostly about werewolves and this one focused more on the vampires. The vampires did not sparkle and they were not friendly, which was really nice to see. I like how we know that Stefan is a dangerous monster but we still like him anyways. I like how we get to see more of each group as the series moves on. I could not stop reading at any point during this book. I was 100% hooked.

“Never trust a mechanic who drives new cars. They’re either charging too much money for their work, or they can’t keep an old car running – maybe both.
